This would be the final season with Manchester City for the fan favourite goalkeeper. Weaver was loved by City fans for his part in the dramatic Play-Off Final win over Gillingham which saw the club promoted to the First Division and his iconic celebrations that followed the penalty shoot-out. The Sheffield-born 'keeper made a total of 207 appearances for the club before joining Charlton Athletic in 2007
