Rare home shirt as worn during the period when new Manchester United #7 and former Sporting wonderkid Ronaldo made his international debut in a 1–0 victory over Kazakhstan on 20 August 2003. The winger would go on to score his first goal a year later on home soil at Euro 2004 against eventual champions Greece. Famously distraught at the final whistle in the final, just over 10 years later Ronaldo became his country's all-time top scorer. This design was also notably worn at the 2002 World Cup when the Seleção crashed out following a suspicious defeat against hosts South Korea
