Player - Veteran hard-working forward Lee Mills #22
Features
Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by Mills during the period 2000-02. The former Derby County man was in his first season with Pompey after joining from Bradford and made 27 appearances in all competitions bagging 5 goals to help the side avoid relegation from the First Division with a 20th placed finish. Highlights for the forward included goals in wins over Tranmere Rovers in the League and Cambridge United in the League Cup. He was loaned out to fellow First Division outfit Coventry in November 2001 before making the move permanent at the end of the year. Strangely enough Mills would wear this shirt again whilst at Coventry when in February 2002 at Fratton park he and the rest of the Coventry squad were forced to don this orange number when referee Graham Barber deemed both Cov kits to clash with Pompey's strip.
