Away shirt worn by Fulham when they would win the Second Division with a massive 14-point gap on second place. The club also reached the fifth round of the FA Cup, where they were beaten by eventual winners Manchester United. Despite being in the Third Tier of English football, Cottagers manager Kevin Keegan would be appointed England coach on a part-time basis following the departure of Glenn Hoddle. Keegan then left Craven Cottage at the end of the season to concentrate on his duties as England manager. Fulham replaced Keegan with Paul Bracewell as player-manager.
