Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Bogarde for the 1998-99 season. After 3 years as a defensive stalwart for the great Ajax side that won the Champions League in '95 and reached the Final again the year after Bogarde moved to the Nou Camp via AC Milan in January '98 and picked up a La Liga and Copa del Rey double as well as the Super Cup in his first season. The centre back unfortunately missed most of the 98-99 campaign through injury though making only 2 appearances in all competitions. This was the first season that Nike produced kits for Barca and a special patch was worn on the left sleeve from January '99 of the season onwards as part of the club's centenary celebrations. Bogarde recovered to be a regular again for 99-00 before signing for Chelsea in 2000. The former Sparta Rotterdam man also earned 20 caps for the Dutch national side between 1995-2000.
