Ultra rare home shirt as worn by Pompey as they finished ninth in the First Division in 1991-92, before having an impressive promotion charge in the 1992-93 season. Making it all the way to the playoffs before losing sixth-placed Leicester 4-1 over two legs despite finishing the season in third. The south coast club were led by Guy Whittingham who scored a whopping 42 goals in 46 league games breaking the record for most goals scored in a First Division season
