Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn during the period 1985-90. This classy adidas design had been worn to various different specifications as early as 1980 by the Finns but it was only later in the 80s that they adopted this trefoil style of printing. The Huuhkajat came pretty close to qualifying for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico but narrowly missed up. They didn't fare as well in qualifying for Euro 88' or Italia 90' picking up just one win in each campaign.
